Podcast Help/FAQ
I'm having trouble logging into this website!
The username and password you were issued on your first order are case-sensitive, so first, make sure you're typing capital letters in the right places. You can also request a new password. If those don't fix the problem, please contact us and we'll help you.
How do I access the podcasts I just ordered?
First, you'll need to be logged into this website. With your first order, you should receive an email that contains your username and a temporary password. Once you have your password changed to something you like, write your login information down! You will need it each time you come back to your Library page on this site.
Help! I lost my password!
No problem. See there in the sidebar, just below the login boxes? There's a "Request new password" link. Click that and enter the email address you used when you placed your order. We'll send you a new temporary login link, and then you'll be able to reset your password. (And of course, you'll write it down this time, right?)
I subscribed to the podcast. How will I get my new shows?
New CraftyPod 2.0 episodes come out every other Friday. When you ordered your subscription, you got access to the most recent episode (and a little welcome podcast). On the day the next new show comes out, you'll receive an email notification. Depending on when you signed up for your subscription, it could be up to 14 days before the next new show comes out.
Where are the podcast archives that come with my subscription?
When you're logged in, click on the My Library tab in the sidebar. Right below your subscription, you'll see an Archives link that will take you to over 100 archive CraftyPod shows. Enjoy!
Help! I just tried to get to my podcasts and I can't see them!
One of two things may be happening here: first, are you logged into the site? If you are, then you'll be able to see your username in the sidebar. If you aren't logged in, then you'll see empty login fields in the sidebar. Try logging in, and then click the "My Library" link that appears in the sidebar.
If you're on your Library page and you can't see your podcasts there, contact us for help.
I want to download one of the archive podcasts, but I can't see them anymore. What gives?
Podcast subscribers will have access to the back catalog of shows for the duration of their subscriptions. If your Library page shows your new shows but not the archive, it's possible that your subscription term has run out. Renewing it will bring those archives back to your Library. If your subscription hasn't run out yet, please contact us for assistance.
What happens when I download the podcasts to my computer?
When you click the "Download" link, a copy of the MP3 file will download to your computer. Depending on how your computer is configured, it could end up in a "Downloads" folder, or a "My Documents" folder, or some other folder you may have designated. If you aren't sure where the file has ended up, see if you can do a search on your computer for the filename.
How do I get my podcasts into iTunes?
First, you'll need a copy of iTunes installed on your computer. (If you don't have one already, you can get it here.)
Then, you'll need to download the podcast MP3 file to your computer by clicking the "Download" link from your library page.
Open your iTunes, and look for the "File" menu at the top of the screen. Click that, and select "Add to Library." A dialog box will appear on your screen, and in that box, you should be able to locate where the MP3 file was saved on your computer. Highlight the file, and then click the "Open" button.
I added my podcasts to iTunes, but I can't find them now. What gives?
iTunes will store your CraftyPod 2.0 shows with your Music library, not your Podcasts library. (Sorry, there's nothing we can do about this.) But you can easily find your shows in iTunes by typing "CraftyPod" into the Search box.
You can easily sync individual podcast episodes with your favorite device if you select them from your Music library.
I had a subscription to this show on iAmplify. Isn't it there anymore?
Sadly, no. iAmplify turned out to be a bad business partner, and we had to remove the show from that service. This PDF will show you how to make sure you're no longer getting charged for your subscription with iAmplify. We apologize for any inconvenience this may create for you.
