Hook, Needle, Pencil Case

The secret to this sturdy tool case is plastic canvas - although, it sure doesn't look like plastic canvas! Instead of needlepoint, this project uses a clever hybrid of stitching and weaving to cover the surface. You can create all kinds of interesting patterns with this method.

This tutorial will take you through all the steps of constructing the case, teaching you some useful plastic canvas skills along the way. There are 24 pages, illustrated with full-color step-by-step photos.

(That may seem like a lot, but rest assured - it's not a difficult project! Just a very thorough tutorial.)

What a great use for leftover yarns, and a fun gift to make for the knitter, crocheter, or artist in your life!
